Track and Field Dominates Region


Last week Morgan High School hosted the 3A Region Championship on May 9th and 10th. From start to finish the Trojans dominated the competition, in almost every event Morgan placed multiple athletes in the top three and placed first in 19 of the evens. At the end of the meet Morgan’s Varsity Men’s sat in first place with a total score of 174, with the next closet team score at 81.5 for Grantsville in second, this is the Men’s fourth consecutive region championship. The Women’s Varsity scored 139 points for first place well a head of Judge Memorial with 108 in second place. This is the first time in school history that both teams have placed first in region in the same year.

Morgan will head down to Provo on May 18th and 19th for the 3A State Championships. They will compete at the Clarence F. Robison Track and Field Complex at BYU. They will be facing Grantsville, Juab, Judge Memorial, and South Summit.
