Rich County — On June 4, 2018 around 11:30 a.m., the Rich County Sheriff’s Office dispatch reported a boating accident involving a single male at the docks in the Rainbow Cove area of Bear Lake. Utah State Park personnel responded and found an unresponsive 69 year old adult male from Morgan County at the waters edge.
Robert B. Doman was stepping from his vessel to the dock, slipping and landing him in the water. A nearby park user heard the splash and cries for help and observed Doman face down in the water. The park user retrieved the unresponsive Doman from the water and performed CPR until park and medical personnel arrived to assist.
Medical efforts to revive Doman were unsuccessful and was pronounced dead at the scene.
