PTO Asks for Donations for Playground Equipment


The playground equipment at Morgan Elementary School is dated according to the PTO. The equipment on the east side of the school has been in place since around 1997. The complaints about some equipment stem from difficult maintenance to keep equipment safe for students to play.

New equipment will cost around $9,000-$15,000. But the PTO is hoping to include plans for a Lifetime all-abilities swing. The all-abilities swing allows children with special needs and those who may be wheelchair bound to participate in the school playground equipment alongside their peers. Morgan Elementary welcomed a large student body back to school this week and the PTO of the school stated that includes a large population of students that would enjoy an all-abilities piece of equipment.

The PTO is looking for donations for the equipment from individuals, families, businesses, and organizations in any amount.
