MHS Girls Soccer Advances to Semifinal Match


The MHS girls’ soccer team continued their road back to the state championship match with two playoff wins last week.  In the opening round of the playoffs on Wednesday, October 10, Morgan decisively beat Providence Hall 5-1 at home. 

On Saturday, October 13, the Lady Trojans traveled to Manti to face the Templars in the quarterfinal round and came away with a 1-0 victory.  Junior Sydney Cragun scored the lone goal in the second half, and Taylor Condie recorded the shutout.

Morgan will play in the semifinal match on Friday, October 19 at 3:45 against Summit Academy at Juan Diego High School.  Morgan beat Summit Academy 5-0 in their last meeting on September 20.

Juab will face top-seeded Judge Memorial in the other semifinal match up on Friday at 6 pm. The State Championship game will be played at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday, at 1:30 pm.
