Every year the Holidays bring family fun across the world, but there is something special about a small town, homegrown Christmas. The Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce spends hours of volunteer time preparing for the event and it is a great way to celebrate the season with the family. The event will commence on Saturday December 1st at 2 pm. Food and activities will be throughout the day, with the Christmas Tree Lighting at 6 pm that evening.
When asked why Morgan’s Hometown Christmas was unique, chamber member, Laurel Orr said, “It’s the perfect small town Christmas Experience. All of the fun traditions will continue, but the even is also growing with new experiences.”
This year there will be a Christmas Pet Parade and a Christmas Market filled with handmade items from a variety of vendors. Orr said the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will have the museum open from 10 am-2 pm on December 1st.
The Chamber of Commerce hopes that continuing the tradition of a Hometown Christmas will create experiences and memories for the entire community. It begins with the youngest among us by sitting on Santa’s lap, going on a hay ride, caroling around a bright Christmas tree, watching performances by those in the community and much more.
Now, that Thanksgiving has ended, it’s the perfect time to get in the Christmas spirit by enjoying a day filled with holiday fun.
