Boys’ basketball is in full swing at Morgan High. The Trojans started their season on November 28th against Park City. They were victorious in their opening game, finishing at 57-55. They were not as fortunate when they played Delta on the 30th of November.
The game ending in a tight 72-75 defeat for the Trojans. Their most recent game against Richfield was an equally close battle ending in a Trojan loss at 51-53. In all three games, Morgan high has held a double-digit lead, but fell short in the 4th quarter.
The Trojan’s offense excels at times. Their key to success is a team effort. The Team has seven players that average over five points per game. Four of those players are close to a ten point average. With this many consistent scorers, the Trojans offense may be very successful in the future. They just need to find a way to conquer the end of the game. Coach Matthews highlighted their plan going forward, “Our focus right now is the team. We are making sure that all our efforts are to build the team up and make the group as strong as possible.”
On Wednesday the 5th, the Trojans take on Ben Lomond at Ben Lomond. Their next home game will be on December 7th, where they will take on American Heritage High School.
